Sam Parry
Growing up outside of West Chester, Pennsylvania, Sam played a variety of sports. Soccer was his true calling. He played soccer from age 5, and ended up earning all area accolades playing defense for Unionville High School. Due to knee injuries he continued his soccer career in other ways at Temple University. Officiating the game is now his main contribution to the sport he loved to play. On top of that he has begun to referee football and hockey as well. He is currently the Referee Coordinator for the Passing Football League at PSTC.
Being around sports his entire life is the main reason Sam chose to get involved in Sport and Recreation Management. Growing up less than a mile away from a sports complex and a public golf course, having a family that played sports before him, and enjoying his opportunities to play all contribute. He wants to show others the benefits that sports have to offer, but also let them understand that there is more to life than just sports. Sam’s involvement in PSTC gives him an exciting opportunity to educate people about how to combine academics and athletics into success. |
